Seismic Products California Valves are earthquake sensitive gas shut-off valves. They are
intended to close in the event of an earthquake to prevent gas flow into a
structure where earthquake damage may have occurred. The valve reduces the
potential for fire or explosion due to the release of natural gas into a
structure if gas lines, gas fixtures, or gas appliances have been damaged. PSP valves do not
use any source of internal or external electrical power. They are designed to
remain closed until manually reset.
PSP valves have a 30 year warranty and are individually tested before they
leave the factory. They are not only UL listed, but meet the State of California, City of
Los Angeles and ASCE specifications.
We stock Horizontal and Vertical Flow valves with 3⁄4” through 3”
connections, and have 4” through 8” available with a lead time of normally one
week. Vertical valves are available in Top In...Bottom Out (VT) or Bottom In...Top Out (VB). Please specify required orientation before placing an order.
